Back from San Antonio (along with a little nostalgia)

I must say,...I think I have fallen in love with yet another city. This is in addition to Seattle, Vancouver, Paris, Bangkok and Santa Monica. Although San Antonio is unlike the previous that I have mentioned, in some way (perhaps more than one) there's a unique charm to it that is much more like a mingle of southern Texan hospitality, nascent cosmopolitan splendor, wild unexpectedness, optimistic growth and a flavor that spices things up. It's something that once you've experienced, it lives along side you within the time you spent there and it also dwells deeply in your heart once you step onto the airplane and fly away.

I was down there for the last five days and that's the reason why I haven't made any blog entries since then. I guess at the moment, I don't really know where to begin in terms of writing about all of the stuff I've experienced down there but I guess in the coming days I'll slowly reveal myself...the self that was a Texan for the past five days. But for now, I think I'm just going to go ahead and let my thoughts seep in a bit more before I can squeeze them all out in the form of some writings.

...but it's also good to be back in Seattle.

haven't been to San Antonio, but i definitely would like to go someday.

i did pass through austin, and was very surprised. it didn't feel like a texas city at all. more like a city in new england.
