The Fantastic 4

(Left to right) Harue, Dylan (me), Kelly, Anthony

As some of you might have already known, since the beginning of the school year (early August 2007), I've been living with three other room mates ...Harue, Kelly and Anthony at our Churchill Apartment here in Pullman where we all attend Washington State University. For me, I don't think I can ever ask for a better group of friends to live with than the one I have right now.

Throughout the past few months, I've got to know and become closer with each and everyone of them (even from Anthony who I already knew for over 2 years). All of us here at the apartment are simultaneously similar and dissimilar. Each and every one of us adds a unique sense of dynamics upon the living situation. We have our idiosyncrasies as well as our mutual affairs for certain things. But it's the process of experiencing everyday life with them and learning from each one of them in a unique and special way that in return allows me to learn even more about my social, intellectual and emotional self...a never ending journey of self-discovery and change.

To be honest, I still have quite a lot to learn about who I am and the every aspect that life presents itself. Here at this apartment, we are all students. Not just students studying and focusing on our majors, but students learning about friendship, love, our weaknesses, how cruel life can be, how beautiful life can be, and the wonders of our tender college years that we know can never last forever.

I know that one day we will all go our separate ways, but in the meantime, it feels good to be around a great group of individuals. This is what's great about university life. When else in your life are you gonna ever live with two girls and another guy in one apartment? Like I said, I wouldn't trade anything else in the world for this. Definitely, these are some of the best days of my life.

Hi Dylan,

You're absolutely right. To me friends are pieces of puzzle which I can hardly find and afford to lose. If we own a thing, we might not realize how special it is, until it's gone. Before all the great time turns to memories, we'd better spend this precious moment as the only day we have.

Good luck to all of you,
Barbie

dang, it's almost 3 years now soon. And 3.5 by the time we graduate. Pretty quick and slow at the same time if you ask me, depending on how you look back. Sigh, dunno what will happen next semester but we will have memories and these blogs right?
