My friend Woojae, a year ago...

A few weeks ago, our close friend Woojae, who used to go here at WSU with us, wrote both me and Anthony a letter (via air mail) from his military base in South Korea. For Woojae, he had to leave and take time off from his university studies and temporarily head back to South Korea to enlist in the mandatory 24 months military service in the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. So far he has almost served 8 months. I remembered back in April, in his taxi ride from his home to the military base, he called me one last time to pretty much tell me everything about his personal life and whatnot. I remembered telling him that when he ever decides to come back to the United States, things will probably have changed. Pullman will have changed, WSU will have changed, most of the friends who are here will have graduated and have left, but he will still have two friends...and that's both me and Anthony because wherever we might be in two years from that time, we'll still wait for him.

It's been a few months now and since it's closing-in on his birthday, I can't help but reminisce the times we hung out and did crazy stuff as well as the late night talks about our problems (while drinking beer).

I remember during this time, a year ago, my friends Anthony, Woojae, and I did one of the most random and memorable things ever on a Friday night.

All three of us had pretty much decided that we were just going to study at Zoe Cafe that Friday night. I mean, it's Friday night and most university students would rather prefer loosening up, partying up a bit, go to the bars and drink and just have some fun to release some of the stress from the school week. For us, we begged to differ. Somehow we decided that it was in our best interest to do some productive studying. Well, we did just that...

A few hours later, we were like "Screw this! Why the hell are we studying?! Lets drink!". Both Anthony and Woojae had birthdays that week and so the three of us decided that we all should go out to the bars to drink, celebrate and just simply have a good time.

It was snowing during that time and we thought it would be worthwhile to trek on foot to Mike's (one of the bars that everyone goes to here in Pullman). However, before doing so, we walked over to Woojae's place to drink a little bit. Anthony on the other hand drank quite a lot. He was even drinking on our way to Mike's. All three of us walked up a huge hill, mind you that there was still snow and ice on the ground and that it was freezing outside. As we got inside Mike's, we all started downing drinks after drinks within a short amount of time. The music was great and I wanted to get shitfaced (also known as "getting extremely drunk and wasted". Anthony wanted to get shitfaced. So did Woojae (sort of). We all got shitfaced eventually. We got tipsy, we got buzzed, we got ourselves a hell of a good time. We danced, we bought more drinks and the cycle endlessly continued...

And the rest was unfathomable drunken history...

Wish he was here to do all of this all over again with us in a few days. We're not gonna forget ya buddy!

That was probably one of the most drunk I've ever been in my life. I was way drunk before I even went to the bar. haha

Woojae emailed me btw. Miss the guy. That was I guess you could say a "simple" night? but it was one of the best times.

Speaking of which, you forgot to mention that you were laughing your ass off as I was puking out the window and giving the peace sign to bystanders while the car was rolling.

Then we went to Phuong's place and you were puking in the toilet while I was puking in the sink simultaneously.

Then you forgot to mention i passed out halfway in the hallway and bathroom doorway so you weren't able to take a dump. But maybe that is way too much details... haha

Wonder what this year awaits. to tell you the truth, if it's just me you and derrick lounging in the bar, I wouldn't mind at all.

But if there's a fat ass party at our place and we all totally get shitfaced again, i wouldn't mind that either. lol

anthony,
haha...you just incorporated details onto the "..and the rest was unfathomable drunken history..." part. but yeah, cant wait to get shitfaced...but i think i might be getting shitfaced much more easily now since i've lost weight and i dont drink on a regular basis anymore.

That story wasn't completely true. Minus the fact that picture had to be taken by *someone*.
