Elton John, WSU Basketball, house party,..Oh my!

I just recently found out that Sir Elton John will be performing here at Washington State University for Mom’s Weekend on April 12 at Beasley Coliseum. Elton John will be touring in support of his new album “Rocket Man: Number Ones” which was released in March. That album features John’s number one hits over the past three decades. Tickets for the WSU concert on April 12, go on sale at 10 a.m. on Jan. 25. This sounds really exciting and I definitely will secure my ticket when the tickets go on sale. I've never seen Elton John in concert before and so this would be a fantastic opportunity and would make for a charming spring Friday night.

Anyway, WSU (our college men's basketball team) beat Boise State Univeristy last Tuesday night in a non-conference match-up with a final score of 86-74. Currently Washington State University's Men's Cougar Basketball team is ranked #9 in the nation with a 2-0 record. Go Cougs!

Well, tomorrow night, me and my room mates are having a party at our place. Once again, we've filled up the keg and bought a lot of booze. It'll be a pretty fun get-together before Thanksgiving Break. I'm excited. Everyone's excited. We're all goin' to hell tomorrow!

i think elton john has been the most high profiled performer to come to WSU in recent years! gotta give props to the ASWSU for getting him to perform here.

In the end a lot of WSU students are angry because many tickets went to people not affiliated with WSU. The Elton Jon show was meant as an event for their Mom's weekend, a weekend in which mothers come to spend time with their son or daughter. Many students were unable to get tickers, even after waiting in long lines in an effort to get them.

that's sad to hear. i know that this event was meant for wsu students to spend with their mothers during Mom's Weekend. it's a shame that students were left from being able to have the opportunity to have a wonderful evening with their moms. since this event was brought forth by the ASWSU, tickets should have been allowed only for those affiliated with WSU since it IS a WSU event.
